Thermal direct labels or themo-direct labels are suitable for thermal direct barcode printers. These printers use a printhead to generate heat which causes a chemical reaction in a specially designed paper. Due to the heat, the paper turns black.

 

The main advantage is, that no extra ribbon is needed for printing. However, please note that these labels are slightly more expensive than thermal-transfer labels. Besides, the maximum durability of these labels is restricted to approx. 8-12 months. Another disadvantage of the direct thermal labelss is that the labels become illegible if exposed to heat, direct sunlight or chemical vapors.

 

The number of different labels regarding size and dimensions is countless, more than 120 different types are available in our range.

 

The following sizes are available off-the-shelf in white, permanent adhesion. Other dimensions, colours and adhesions can be made specific to your requirements.

Adhesion: Permanent or removable

Colour: white or coloured

 

Optionally in addition, if available:

Printer: Which printer is used in your company?

ODM: External diameter of the roll / maximum diameter of your printer.

 

Basically, our thermal labels can be used in almost any barcode printer from various manufacturers. The most important criteria are the core diameter, the maximum outer diameter and the technology of printing (thermal direct or thermal transfer).

 

We supply labels for the following manufacturers:

Argox, Zebra, Intermec, TSC, Eltron, Datamax, Epson, Bizerba, Avery Dennison, Sato, Toshiba TEC

 

According to printer manufacturer and model, various core diameters can be used. There are 3 different dimensions, 25.4 mm (1 “), 38 mm (1.5 “) and 76 mm (3 “). Also the outer diameter of the label roll may vary.
